Title: Anyone have access to a Zf6 transmission service manual
Post by: lilred on March 11, 2016, 07:01:41 AM
I've searched the web, emailed the company, and can't find anything on the assembly, torque specs, part numbers etc for the ZF6 transmission in my 2004 GMC 2500hd. Does anyone have access to a service manual for this thing? Every shop wants $700 just to take it apart and quote me. All it needs is a 3rd gear syncro.

http://www.midwesttrans.com/zfs_650.html

This had parts list and prices, and a blow up at the bottom of page. Hope this helps

Thanks, ZF actually emailed me back with a 48 page service manual pdf file, skimmed through it and decided to take it to a trans shop lmao

Yeah, pretty much every step involved a press and a lot of it had to be heated to be put together, I'll pass LOL
