Title: Need Help guys, Monster Mudder Tyres.
Post by: Promax on August 30, 2016, 01:12:27 PM
Hi guys,

I need a little help from you guys over in states if possible. I have a cherry picker in my yard here in England that has some Gumbo monster mudder tyres on it sizes are 15/38.5 - 16.5lt. I cannot for the life of me get hold of one of these tyres here in  England.  Do any members know where I could get hold of such a thing, they don't have to be new as I will foam fill them.  I am trying to keep a customers machine running and not scrap it. Any help in looking in the right direction would be appreciated. Please pm or post in this thread anywhere I can try.

Cheers

Jon

Thanks for the reply marshall.

JC the tyre sizes are 15/38.5 - 16.5lt, the tyres that marshall found are 15" rim size and our rim size is 16.5 so I do not think it is worth contacting the seller.

From what I am told is that the size was unique and the mold was owned by a company called simon aerials. When they sold to Terex, Terex did not want the mold so scrapped it. What i don't understand is the name of gumbo monster mudder. (gateway)?? Was this owned by simon.

Thanks

Thanks for keeping this thead alive guys still looking for the tyres. Shame I cannot upload a photo as I would have shown you the tyres on the simon constructor cherry picker. More issues with this machine than you could have imagined. Basket level rams resealing, High speed drive pumps, major issues with the calipers as they needed resealing and the parts are ex usa and not been supplied for years taken 9 months and sending back a few times. Now finding the half shaft is bust and that is why just one tyres is ripped apart as its the one driving. All for a machine that is 20 years plus old and my engineers don't want to work on it. Baine of my life.
