Part 2, got all the bolts out 3 in the torque converter and 9 in the bell housing. Now the fun begins, all bolts out, motor mounts removed, all wires and hoses removed CANT GET THE ENGIN AND TRANS TO SPLIT!!! sry for the yelling but tired after 10 hours fighting with this POS. I know I have to flip the diff down to clear the oilpan but want to get the engine broke lose first. I have an inch to play with but it wont come apart. I have prayed, pounded, beat and shook the hell out of it and it wont budge. What is with this thing!!!!!

Thanks again

the alignment dowels are stuck at least thats what i'm thinking. I wold take a jack with a 2x4 on it so you dont dent the trans pan and put some pressure on the trans. then lift the motor a bit and see if you can get it to split. you migh thave to lift or lower the motor and keep trying. I could stop by since your not far from me but not sure what time is a good time for you I work nights so i leave my house at 5 to go to work so it would have to be before that or first thing in the morning i get out at 6 am and get home at 630. let me know.

Thanks for the offer of stopping by. I went out there with a 2x4 and a 6 lb persuader and beat the top of the block and she split. Got it out and on the floor. Thanks to all who made post in these 2 threads.

==cl they arent much fun to pull out if they were still in from the factory! i did one in my 96 4x4 and it was a PAIN!!!!  almost worth pulling the front clip off!

i hear ya on removeing the front clip. i may pull the trans and front clip when i put it back in. may sound like more work but a little more work will take away about 5 hours time.
