It's gonna take some time to get things back on track though - wouldn't count on an instant change.
Bush messed up a lot of things - it's gonna take time to clean it up.

I believe that the African American people got what they deserve.. equality that they have worked for so hard.. this is a good thing I think...       the black community can no longer use the excuse of being held down by the man.. it is their turn to step up.. and step up they better..


However, I am seriously concerned that in the house and senate the swing in power was too far.. those that voted for that swing in power may well get exactly what they asked for...
and it may be very painful..  we now have in power,, people with some drastically Left ideas that I don't believe the american people are prepared for...

I forsee substantial losses in the 2nd Amendment, tax increases and bigger government..
just to name a few.. but... this is the  way..

I also feel too much emphasis is placed on the President. People don't realize he's just a fall guy that can't do anything without Congress'es approval. Funny how everyone forgets that and just points the finger at Bush. I vote Bush in 2000 and 2004 and McCain in 2008 and proudly stand by my decision to this day.

Obama has 4 yrs to prove himself (change is comeing) we'll see,I really hope he can do some good cause I dont see how he could do any worse,at this point I really dont worry if my taxes go up more, im not gonna like it but McCain or Obama it will happen either way and there is nothing we can do about it, if the economy picks up he will get my vote for another 4 yrs.
as for him being assasinated I dont think anyone could get close enough, his security will be greater because he is an african american, and even if by some chance it did happen at least it wont be Palin takeing over.

Yeah it is a very sad but true thing that someone will probably try to assassinate him, 2 people from tenn. were already caught with conspiracy to kill him and hang x amount of people and kill x amount of people, sorry dont remember exactly how many, i think he will do a good job at running the country and probably help pull out of alot of the mess that bush has got us in,
