I did mine at ABC Training & Testing in Jackson. Great people to work with. Scott Gamet and Joe Lenton are the teachers. Great couple of guys.

how much did it cost. I really dont have any money to pay for the class. I'm trying to find a place that will help pay for it or something like that.

They can find you financing or alot of people go through Michigan Works. If you get two or three pre-hire letters from trucking companies they'll pay for it for you. Mine was payed for through Worker's Comp. Cash wise I think it's about $3,500. Not sure but I think that's it.

ouch dont have that I will have to see what i can do. I know if i go t the sec of state and take the test I will pass. i just need some seat time so i can get use to the shifting. I messed with them at an old job but could never really shift the gears yard wasnt big enough. and the pre trip inspection i hear is a pain to pass they really watch you on that.

Teresa Gamet is the lady in the office who'll get you hooked up on the financing and can answer all of your questions about anything. Nice lady as well. If you do end up going down there tell them Big John says hey! I usually try and stop in and BS with them every once in a while.

cool i'll look them up. thanks

Anotherr option is to do a short (3 or 4 day) refresher course. It'd be alot cheaper and you would be 1 on 1 with an instructor. Maybe 1 day to learn the pre trip, 2 days for driving and you'd be outta there. They'd probably do that too.

==cl I hope it all works out for you. Truckings hard though. Drive OTR for 2 years then look for something local. Right now no local places will touch you without two years in.
