Been thinking about putting a 4 inch lift on my 72 K5 blazer..........and have been wondering if I'll need new driveshafts made for it????? My blazer has 205 fixed rear yoke.

When I lifted my long box 84 chevy 10 years ago with a 4 inch lift.........both shafts were stretched to the max.....but it worked........but that truck had a slip yoke 208....which allowed the shaft to pulled out 4 inches.

Anybody ever install a 4 inch lift on a 69-79 K5 blazer???.......did your stock driveshafts need replaced??

You could probably street drive it without a problem.  But for any serious wheelin', I would get it lengthened.  But, I dont like to half ass things myself.
In need of a yank strap?  PM me... I have 'em!

i got a 80 k5 blazer with a 4inch lift and all i used is the spacers for the t case and it works fine even in the mud

i got a 85 blazer on a 6" and I just have a drop on the t-case, front shaft is a lil sketchy though, kinda surprised it aint fried yet

spacers usually do the trick, but if turns out that you need a driveshaft, messure from the center of the cap on the front yoke to the center of the cap on the rear yoke, and i'll see if i have the one you need.
