alrite so got my new heads back and new stainless roller rockers and i was told the pushrods i have would work but i think they are a little short.  So i got a pushrod length checking tool 1 of those adjustable pushrods. What i didnt know is your suppose to use a solid lifter, i have hydraulic lifters and was advised by comp cams not to pump them up so i didnt be fore i installed them. What i want to know is has anybody done this using hydralic lifters and is there anything different you have to do? im getting ready to give it a try and seems to me the hydraulic lifter not being pumped up will squish a bit and throw the measurement off, so has any one done it or do i need to break down and get a solid lifter to do this. was hoping to get motor together this weekend and not have to wait to buy 1 solid lifter

definetly find a solid lifter. if it does squish, you could have a lot of problems with a set of pushrods that are too long.
