I want to port out my 882 heads that I got sitting in my garage.  But I have never done it and want to learn how to do it.

Any one want to come show / help out? I got a Junk head we can screw around with to get the hang of it.
Also what all do I need to do it?

I will get some beer and you can drink it well I work as I cant drink any more.  Haha.

I dont know just throwing the idea out there.

Or I can pay some one on here to do it.

thank of this frist!!  what all do you need to buy for your heads.   ($$$$ wise)  because the cost of everything you may need will cost more then buying better heads. you are talking 1970-1980 heads to 2010 heads. i work in machine shop for 16 years.

I have everything for my heads.
All I want to do is Gasket match the heads and intake. I am not looking for a full on port and polish job here.

It is mainly the fact that there are 3 huge as flat spots on the intake runner side were the intake and head meet that need to be taken out.  As well as a few small Slag spots in the runner itself.

There is nothing super awesome I am doing to the motor. I just want the Most power out of it I can get with what I have.  I dont ave 1200 bucks for some nice AL heads. Wish I did but unless I hit the Lotto I going to spend the few buck to make these work for my Application.

Did some reading and a bunch of research and then picked theses up

Most of the sites I cam accrossed say that these are the two types of burr tools you want to use.  I would have gotten a Ball and a Straightener Barrel but they cost more than 40 buck for the ones they had in store at Production Tool in Novi.

thatll work now do you have a die grinder, disasemble the heads and only go around to the gasket where you drew on 1'' inside dont go and consentrate on the walls or get carried away. if you listen you realy cant screw up. i was 16 when i did my first full port job. ( and yes i have screwed up) once! take your time, just 1'' in will do it.
