98 z71. few questions.

ok, i have a 98 z71 ext 4x4 with a 4l60e and a 350vortec. Ive rebult almost everything on this truck. just put a brand new vortec 350 init. had engine problems so it was at the engine show for a few weeks and now stuff dont seem right. here are my questions: 1. my shifter indicator isnt working anymore, how do i fix that? 2. my brake lights come on sometimes for no reason, whats up with that? 3. my transfercase worked fine when i got it back, now it goes into hi with ease, but low it just flashes and stays in hi. This is the pushbutton model. i replaced the switch in dash already. Idk whats up with this thing right now. thanks in advance!

the indicator is controled by the box on the driver side of the trans were the shifter go's in. it might not be engageing low because it can tell it's in neautral or park

brake light thing...do they shut off when you lift the pedal up with your foot? switch might have moved up, or spring is weak. my truck does that, i just made it a habit to lift it with my foot after braking...lazy

look above the brake pedal and you'll find the brake switch, there should be an adjustment lever on there. its been a while since i've adjusted one tho, i believe thats how they do em.

Chances are its not going into 4lo cuz the indicator isnt working.   wiggle the plugs on the neutral saftey switch (side of the trans where the shifter cable hooks up to)  and see if they come on.
