im running a decent 350 with tbi right now and just recently acquired a 454. can i run my injection system on this or just convert to carb?

You want to run your 350tbi on the 454?

its wont be big enough you need a 454 tbi. hope this helps

You will also need the TBI distributor.

yah i want to run my tbi setup, i had my tbi sent out to cfm-tech and they machined my tbi and its supposed to flow more then a stock big block tbi and also i have msd ignition set-up for my 90 k5 with the billet dist. also running an a.f.p.r and hi-flo fuel pump.

There is no way they machined it out to flow more than a 454tbi. A 350tbi flows 450cfm, 454tbi will flow 670cfm nuff said!

If you actually bought a tbi from cfm tech they might have sold you a machined 454tbi, I think you can get them to flow in the 700cfm range...but if you have a 350tbi I dont care what you do to it the thing will not flow enough to support even a stock 454.

670cfm tbi

Edelbrock 4brl manifold

Adapter plate for the tbi

tbi distributor

454 tbi chip for the computer

With all these parts you can run the 454 in your truck everything should be plug and play, all sensors are the same, you might have an issue with the pig tail on the TPS sensor because some 454tbi's have a different style plug but it is just a matter of hacking off the old plug and wiring on a new one.

thanks guys for the info,ill have to see if i can find receipt for the tbi,they sent me one and needed my tbi for a core so im not sure but i know they said the butterflys were the same size as the bb tbi so i guess it wouldnt hurt to try. im gonna open up the big block for inspection to make sure everything looks good then get the intake with adapter and give her a try. only thing is am i gonna have to get different brackets for the pulleys or will the stuff transfer from the small block

They sent you a worked over 670cfm 454 tbi then...they just wanted your core!
