when you get your stuff back either you or a buddy that is capable needs to double check everything you are capable of before you assemble your engine the rest of the way. ive had problems more than once with multiple engine shops before we started doing everything except machine work in house at our race shop. plastiguage and remeasure everything!

1. gave me someone elses engine block.
2. 70% leakage in my camel backs 2 races in to a $400 rebuild..got told no warranty because its a racecar
3. a 60 over bore tolerance is +- .002.. #7 came back at .007 good thing we used file fit rings
4. block resurface turned into a .040 mill of the top face. cost me an engine not checking valve to piston clearance.

this is just some of the big stuff. my engine assembler and my machine shop are 2 seperate individuals and they know there being double checked.

my 490hp 355 (her name is nikki) is 9 years old. 6 seasons in a racecar and 3 in a mud truck, all on the rev limiter (7200) and still going strong.

Yeah i plan to check everything over. When i get it back and make sure everythings going to work and assembled right. And put some play doh on top the piston and put the head on and make sure it has the clearence it needs and wont hit
i dont have a mud bogging problem, i got it under control
