no spark 91 jeep with 4.0

I got this jeep with a bad motor. Put a different motor in it and wont fire . no power to the coil. Fuses and relays all look good . even ran 12 volts right to the coil and still don't run.

crank postion sensor. it on the bellhousing. or it could be the cam postion sensor or even the magnetic pick up coil

i have a cps  out of a 91  i will sell u for 1/2 a new 1    i puled the 6 cylinder  to put a v 8 in it

also faulty ignition switches will cause this.  motor will crank all day long with no outcome.

i don't think its the ignition switch. because the old motor had a hole in it so it had to run before i got it. but i could see the cps being bad from me installing the motor.....thanks for the offer on the senor looks like ur on the other side of lansing. i living north of Saginaw and work in Byron but its a little too far to save $25.

i have a 98 wrangler with the 4.0 and i have no spark to, check to see if you have fuel cuz i don't and i alreaqdy changed the crank senor nad my jeep does have a ignition switch from the factory so i think it is my computer and i can get on from autozone for like $225 and that is plug and play but it is a lot of money when you are not possative that is the problem! good luck with yours

No fuel no spark= asd(auto shut down) relay.

Yup, if motor had a hole knocked in it that might have been enough to activate the safety system that shuts down fuel and spark if that vehicle is equipped with anything like that.. Idk, Im just flyin by the seat of my pants on this jeep stuff

well it was the crank senor. replace it and big spark and runs now and i did replace the auto shut down relay wasn't workin . Thanks everyone.
