chevy people i need help

i got a chevy 350 tbi and im havin some issues i cant figure out is wrong with it. it boggs down when i give it gas can berely get up to speed and feels like it has no power, also can hear the truck missing when its ideling. would appreciate the help on this. and i was thinking of putting a carb on the engine think that would get rid of the problems?

when the last time it had plugs and wires? how old is the fuel pump? have you had it on a scaner?  how many miles?

just changed the plugs cap rotor and distributer 2 weeks ago didnt do the wires. no clue on the fuel pump i havent changed it since i got it havent got it on a scanner yet and dont really know the miles on it cuz its a different motor but the body miles are 250000 i think. it also is getting too much gas im pretty sure. kinda stumped on this lol

fuel filter for the no power part, plug wires for the miss

You might smell gas or think it is running rich if your ignition system is not up to par...change the wires as well especially if you have a miss, that will more than likely solve all your issues.

I would not be concerned about the fuel pump, if it is running it is probably good, TBI motors are low fuel pressure, if it still runs funny when getting into the throttle after changing plug wires then change your fuel filter.

PS: X3 on that coolant temp sensor, it will play havoc with the computer and cause all kinds of problems and make it run funny...first replace wires and fuel filter though.

are you sure you have the wires on correctly? I have seen it time and time again where a couple wires get crossed and it will really run bad

Put it on a scanner..
mine was the same way..

EGR leak and low fuel "Volume" pressure was fine.

hook it up, it'll save alot of grief.

coolant temp sensor fuel filter cat clogged up make sure all good connections at wires and all wires are getting spark. just check the cheap stuff first.

X2 on the plug wires and also could be injectors not sealing right those poppet valves can wear, also could be injector o rings... Just throw other stuff ppl did say out there could be the cause as well but id say hook er up to a scanner n then u gould narrow down the prob..

what did the scanner tell ya?, has you computer gotten wet or anythign obvious like that? might sound dumb, but have a buddy look everything you have done over, maby your missing something obvious that he'll catch, we all know we've done it before

wait a min...first off what year truck is this and what year motor did you shove in it?  were all the connectors the same? did you have to alter or rig any if the plugs or sensors?   im now curios since you said you did a motor swap.
