ITS JUST CUBIC INCHES, any engine can make awsome power with some work. 335s or 305 or 283, all can make good power, the advantage would be with this if you save for a nice block you will have already the new 383 crank and rods all you need then is pistons. so run it, awile then if it starts to have problems its a simple swap away! but 305s can realisticly make 300 to 400 hp and drive it everywhere. but your talking hp ......... 305s where good for tq ........ not as much as larger cubic inches, thats where it starts to fall short. cubic inches are better for tq, but thats not saying its not a awsome engine look at ls1s small bore yet run like a raped ape. its just what are your $ your willing to spend. REALISTICLY ANYONE CAN BUILD A AWSOME MOTOR JUST TAKES  TIME AND CASH.  SO ANSWER IS, 335 IS OK its not gunna make the power of any larger engine its limited by cid, larger can build more. do you see dragsters using 283s or 265 or 350s NO in racing you want cubic inches.

335 dose have an atvantage over a 302 or any engine smaller than it, dont go out and try to race a blown big block. but with a nice cam itll run good! and   that is what mr nasty is sayin........... right

i am the guy with the 335 stroker motor and it is one of the most reliable engines i have owned. it has pulled more people out than i can even count 17 people just at the lacrosse mud bog last time i went out and this truck goes through more than any other truck out at the lacrosse mud bog and there were some nice trucks out there. i didnt build the motor and if i ever replaced it would go big block but for what the motor is it does the job great.
