This year my wife and I decided to buy a hog and 1/2 steer for the freezer.  It ended up being 2 bucks a pound all said and done after processing.  Hands down the best meat for the money.  And due to the lack of hormones in the meat my wife can now enjoy a steak.            Anybody else get sick from  eating store bought meats?

We do the same on beef. Don't eat a lot of pork so the only time we buy a pig is for the annual pig roast.

I feel better when I eat meat then anything else, doesn't matter for me whether store bought or not, but I'm sure it is even better to have that high quality stuff.
