no spark

hey guys i need help i have a 1995 jeep wrangler 4cyl with a 5 speed i was driving the other day and it just died wouldnt start back up had to get it towed put a new coil and pick up coil cap and rotor also put in a crank shaft posistion censor have checked all the fuses and nothing i went through a whole flow chart and cant find anything any idea?

Did you check to make sure the rotor was spinning in the distributor when rolling it over?

yes and the valves are moving so i dont think its a timing chain

Did you check for spark at coil? Maybe a wire split.

Then whatever tells the coil to fire isn't working. Ignition System?

crank position sensor- it controls the spark and the fuel since I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that your injector is not shooting fuel either. I'm pretty sure its located on the bellhouseing, just like the 4.0 jeeps, top drivers side.

everyone's forgeting the other important part that controls EVERYTHING.

PCM...... I had to change it on my 95 and so have a lot of other people..

Ya I'd say either the computer-pcm too. or maybe a wire coming to of from.

had a car the other day would not start .. 3 injectors were bad

Start with your fuses! Check for 12v power at the coil. Check for a ground there as well. Check ground wires on the PCM. There should be an ignition module inside the distributor with a hall effect sensor. Check for power there, power should pulse while cranking, this send the signal to the pcm telling it to fire the injectors and the coil

I'm pretty sure you can disable the PCM timing and set base timing. That would be next trial/error.
