your goin to make your motor work less to get the tires spinning. I had 5.13 in my jeep and loved them. your rig will act like a whole new toy after this
I had the full size thing it just bored me!!!

The only people you need in your life are the ones who prove they need you in theirs

Its all fun and games till someone gets knocked up, down or out

easier to spin the tires, less top end speed.. shouldnt really need 5.13's unless you are running 42's or bigger.. or if your 350 is spinnin 7000 rpm loll

i went from 4.10 to 5.13 in my truck and it made a world of difference, seamed like a new motor, but yes you will see less top speed.... i can only do 60 on the highway at about 3800 rpm with 36" tires and that was with a stock 350 motor and 350/208 behind it.....IM GLAD I DID IT!!!!
If the muds not flying.....push a little harder on the pedal.

1st gear will be real low now and you will be up shifting into second faster hope you have the power to hold second gear now and second gear gives more wheel speed i had 513's in my 10bolt /60 rear

now i have 5:38s in a 60 front 14ff rear hopen to run high range now instead of low

and gears are cheaper than horsepower to add

there are several factors to consider when changing to a lower gear, tire size, rpm range you want to run, will this gear change be in your bogger or in a dd. if it's for your bogger you'll love the gear change much less torque needed to spin tires in the sticky goo.

I had 5:13's w/ a mild 396/TH350/NP203, running 40" TSL's and loved em. I drove it on the street too. Massive Improvement!

Just gotta remember that the pinion size will drop way down, so its much easier to break a pinion. Yer truck seems to do pretty good the way it is. Gotta weigh the advantages to the disadvantages.
