So my dad is having his jeep redone. He's going with a 350 to a TH350 to a NP208. The jeep has wagoneer axles under it with no lift and most likely never will. He just wants a trail rig, not a mudder. The problem he is having is by the time all that is added the driveshaft is stupid short and the angles are too tight. The rear axle was moved back about 2 inches bit its still not enough. Anybody have any suggestions? Shorter T-Case maybe ??? This is a low budget build so any tricks of the trade would be greatly appreciated.

I thought about the 300, Dads still got it, but the adapters are expensive.

put a 205 in it
I thought the 205 was bigger than the 208?

205 is a shorter set up than a 208 unless you fix yoke and make a 203 adaptor work for the 208!

I had a 205 on mine, worked great.

you need to get a Chevy 208 and a Dodge Fixed yoke 208. It will shorten up the over lenght and give you better drive angles.  Its is 6 or 8 inch shorted plus you will not have to worry about the slip yoke falling out.

You need the back half of the Dodge Case, The Dodge out put shaft and some of them cases you need to weld a fill bung on the back of the case.  I can not find the link to the swap out of parts but There is a few sites that have it.
