i got a 95 bronco  i built up. if ya wanna run larger than 35s and actually run it in the bogs i would go solid axel at least dana 60s for 44s and change the gears to around 5.13 or larger. if u wanna run the stock twin traction beam front end i wouldnt go bigger than 38s with at a minimum 4.10 gears and upgrade to yukon axel shafts up front. the rear 8.8 will hold up fairly well with lower gearing. I run 4.88 gears and a yukon grizzly locker in the rear and havent had a problem but up front i have broke a couple stock axel shafts turning 35s. I run a 302 mildly built. 347 is a nice motor but for the money to build a 347 you could swap to a stock or mild build 429/460 get the same or better horsepower with more torque for same money or less and be more reliable. 347 makes awesome horsepower and will build rpm quick but for 44s you want the torque of a big block. Thats my opinion and my experience with my bronco (driveline is same as f150) hope it helps some.

dont think it has a straight axle on the front, figuring that would be the problem up front. just throwing around some ideas right now, but always wanted a big 4wd and this is my chance so dont want to do anything "stupid" to start off with...like has never happened to anybody. i know with my race car, the stock stuff dont last long, learned that the hard way LOL. thanks for any and all help/advice you guys can give me.

if you cant do a solid axle find someone who can if you want 44 boggers.. I am a chevy guy and run 44s with a 500 hp 355(yes I have dyno papers) and its too small... if it was me I would use 1 tons dana 60 front 14 bolt rear 4.56s and a big block then you will have wheel speed and everything!
Have no fear Better Beaters is here.

for every thing you have to buy, i would look for a truck with most all the things you want in your truck. it is cheaper. a lot truck out their for sale. just my 2 cents.
