get it cut to fit with a nice tight but weld and slowly make small stich or tac welds alternating where you put them to keep from adding to much heat once it looks like a solid weld grind it and fill it then block it to shape. just work slow and smart.

how do the doors shut?   if theyre tough, prolly need cab mounts and floors...

the cab mounts are perfect i wont buy a truck unless i look at the cab mounts. the floors are gone from the rockers about 3" in and the inner cab corners  are gone.I'm not worried about how the floor is fixed no one will see the floor but I want it to be solid but the rear wheel Wells are what I'm worried about. And I don't want to use pounds of bondo if you look at my trucks pics it looks great but its what you can't see that drives me crazy

Go and get the new patch panels and before you cut then spots out Line them up were they need to be. Then mark them with a Sharpie and and then cut the bad spot right along the line.  Then put the new repair piece in place and stitch weld it in place, by this I mean you need to tack weld it around the new piece about every two to three inches (take your sweet time doing this).  It will take a wile but you will not warp the sheet metal and will not need a lot of body filler.

Also a good place to get the repair panels in ABC (Auto Body Complete) in flint. They have a ton of replacement parts in stock.

If you want shop me a PM and I can show you how to do it.

it is going to be hard to put the inner wheel well on the box without taking the boxsides off

I had another question how do bushwackers work the ones on my truck like glue on and are screwed on in the inner fender would it easier to buy the bushwackers that you have to cut the fenders to fit them or do the repair panels?
