Looking at pole barns.  Our place to store hay has decided to not let us store it there anymore... how nice of them.   ==pissed

Looking at the metal kits, because I think I could get one constructed easier myself.  Anyone have any experience with them?

How about anyone that as had one built?  Mind sharing what it cost?  Who did it?

In need of a yank strap?  PM me... I have 'em!

I've built a few of em, price  depends on size and what materials, or I should say how fancy you want it lol   there pretty easy to put up, If you know how to use a level and a drill and have a couple guys to had you the sheet metal " if you use metal instead of wood" you can get it done in a weekend depending on size
*Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone **** your wife and being proud to raise their kids.*

My grand parents as well as my uncle and aunt had the Amish build each of their barns. The Amish are second to none in barn building.

Can't remember prices though, but they were huge, finished barns anyways.

Back when I built barns we had a amish crew that built the bigger ones for us and they did good work.  The price of materials has gone way up since I quit.  Call around is the best advice I can think of.

Not to steal your thread just adding curiosity... anyone had a cement block building built? I noticed all the places Ive worked at that are big shops are all built in block... is it cost effective because they insulate or are they just cheaper to build period??

Menards had some deals going on "common size" barns... guessing they had kits on overflow lol.

i had finished my 32 by 40 within a year   not bad but metal is like 2.79 or something a foot.

I've had a couple loft barns built by these guys. My dad has a pole barn from them and a friend got a small ranch cottage. http://www.durabiltpolebuildings.com/loftbarns.html

just paid 27k for my steel 60*60 barn with 2x 16' overhead doors, fully finished though with wiring, slab, insulation, drywall, and a loft upstairs (not finished, but will be a party room soon enough)

That is SUPER cheap for what you got from MORTON.  They are usually the top dollar place.

that is cheap, i do agree, i knew a guy that just had a standard 24x24 garage done and it was a little over 21k for him. but he did it on payments.
