From what I understand, there is 2 dif kinds of orbital valves. One lets you steer without power and the other makes it not do anything with out pump running. Which is which and how do you tell them apart?

I think I'm just going to buy Big Al's set up and mount that up. So now I have about 3 cylinders too many. Lol I keep collecting them in hope to use one, but looks like his kit comes with another. Anyone need one? Ha ha

most of the Charlynn/eaton valves have a built in gerotor pump that allows you to steer w/o engine running.. but its still super hard to turn

Anyone ever use hydro on a rig that sees street use?

I wouldn't run full hydro on a rig that see's the road,  I would run hydro assist, that way you still have mechanical linkage just incase they hydro fails,

We just bought 2 setups from big al yesterday, they are the eaton, charlynn orbitals, and when I turned mine it wanted to push fluid out
Fat chicks welcome IT'S A 2 1/2 TON!!

contrary to popular belif, you DO feel the wheels... just not like in a street vehicle.   I wouldnt do it on the street because there is no dampening on hydro steer. wouldnt be surprised if you got death wobble with it.

hydro assist is the way to go for the street

yup as eroq said assist is the only way to go for street use . i also think it is illegal to run full hydro on the street
