is it an LS or LT motor if it's an LS then yes it's under the intake but don't worry they are easy to pull, reusable gasket and don't have coolant running through them.

betterbeaters

if it the stock 2002 motor its a ls!
Have no fear Better Beaters is here.

Under the intake, and there is 2 sensors, a front and rear, there is a tsb "technical service bulletin" for the rear sensor getting corroded from water entering the knock sensor cavity, causing dtc p0332 to set,  to fix replace sensor and build a wall around the sensor with rtv to prevent from happening again, says do not form a complete circle with the rtv, leave the back section open...  Maybe this is his problem, if you need more info or help just let me know

Nope nothing special, looks like there is a rubber boot, and then just a standard clip type connector, may need to use a pick and pull out and up on the clip to get it over the tang that sticks out
