just wondering if anyone knows of a place close to the midland/bay city area  that might beable to repair a paddle tire.  my brother in law has a set that i want to run on my truck for my trip to silverlake this labor day but if i remember right one paddle is starting to tear off the tire a little bit.   so i was wondering if there may be a place close that can re vulcanize sp? the paddle to the tire  or whatever it is called.

thanks

I don't know if they can do that, and I have never heard of doing it to a paddle tire, and quite frankly I wouldn't trust it.... I could see it coming off and taking someones head off  loll ....I personally would just cut it off, and run with it... your not really guna notice 1 paddle missing unless your doing sand drags or something loll

They use drag slicks, and buff them down, more less rough the surface so the paddle has something good to stick to, and they vulcanize the paddles on

Or if they are sandtires unlimited they are purpose build using molds just like normal tires,

I have both styles ;)

the ones he has at drag slicks with the paddle attached.  i believe  skat trak made these.  or atleast made the paddle and some other company attached it.   someone told me there was a place in mt pleasant that does it but i cant seem to find a name or any more info yet

just thought it might be worth a try to get it fixed before the paddles go back on the rims.

sometimes they will buff tires down too! whens the last time you seen a 40" drag slick lol how you think they make the big 1's? ive seen all kinds of different brands on the sides of the tires from baja belteds to m/t tires on the side walls

Yup they can turn any tire carcass into a paddle tire by buffing it down, lots of guys run bfg at's  in the 33-35 range  on their prerunner style trucks

Use arrow fletching glue.... Used for attaching fletchings to arrows. We repaired a paddle tire for my drag banshee this way and it works great! The glue vulkinizes the paddle to the tire... Been working great on my 120hp drag banshee
