well finally ran my truck at a bog littile one waynbe county fair grounds . broke my axel shaft on the driver side im trying to find a chromemolly ones but i cant seem to find a 30 spline outer and 35 inner combo any ideas were i can get some ! need help fast trying to get it back together for trucks gone wild!

call dts they can get anything you need. i would get 35 spline outers and inners then get new hubs lot stronger

yeah i looked on there also i noticed there was mud in my axel tuvbe sould i be worried about it in thecarrier ? maybe its the outer seals ive changed everything else

mud aways gets in the tubes lol  but I would call dts im sure they can help you

you can call moser as well and they can make you a set of 4130 i believe around $600 or longfield super axle has some real nice stuff too

well now after reading up on axel shafts my length is around 16 but it says that the shafts for a 78-79 is 18.68 and 85-88 is 15.98 or something why is this ? very odd

if you going after market shafts  you need to send them the joint end, what thay do cut splined side off and drill though it spline it side the shaft in and weld it. that way if you ever brake the shaft thay cut the weld and side the shaft out weld in new send it back to you, as long as the joint end is good.  and if 2 one hundred thousand no differents.

yeah i looked a few things up and found the proper way to measure them from the center of the ear to the end of the shaft
