I got some axles here and trying to figure out the gear ratio.....did the whole turn the wheel count turns of yoke thing.... coming up with just past 4....... leading me to believe 4.10 gearing, but I'm redoing seals and fluid so when I got to pulling the cover looked at the numbers stamped on the ring.....they are 1 GM 14012785 10 41 6 84....... well 41/10=4.10 ....but I'm confused since. I've always seen it stamped as 41 10  just making sure I'm right loll thanks.

I'd say its 4.10. Never seen one stamped like that tho. Part number on google says its a 9.5 14 bolt 4.10

Its probably just how it was done on the assembly line.

The 6  84............means June of 1984 when that ring gear was made.  More than likely those axles came out of a 1985 built truck.

id say 4.10 but you can always count teeth and do the math since the cover is off.
