soo out riding around a while back I came acrosst   a gmc 2 1/2 ton truck  and stopped too ask the farmer about it  he said yup we were going too scrap it out  and theres 2 more rolling chassis out by the woods  soo in total theres   6 axles  and 2 t cases  and a whole truck    now im tring too decide what way too go  should  I buy all those or just get a front top loader too match the rear ive already got         the pros for the gm axles is that they will bolt into my truck as is      if I put the top loaders under it  will make the truck a bunch taller  id have too change the t case  and drive shafts  make new brakes  etc etc    what ya all think about all of this  ==wgm

Get it all and sell what you do not need.

fordrunner

I'd pick them up for parts or a least save them from becoming china steel. I'd leave your truck the way it is personanly it my favorite truck to look at on here. The stance is purfict looks mean and right but that just my opinion and you know where to get the parts for them

72 Bogger

Id buy all 3 and use the gm ones for your truck and then sell the rockwells.
drive like you stole it

michigan maniac

The only issues why most people don't run them is because the front axle being reverse rotation, so unless you flip it or have the correct tcase, its a pita to use them, that and Rockwells gain you some driveline angle since being a topload, if you can get them cheap enough I would run them
Fat chicks welcome IT'S A 2 1/2 TON!!

michigan maniac

Oh that and there is more options for pinion brake kits for Rockwells compared to gm 2.5 tons
Fat chicks welcome IT'S A 2 1/2 TON!!
