So I have a 91 k1500 with the TBI 350
Its not getting spark. Before checking anything I boughtba new coil, cap and rotor.
Put all that on and still getting no spark. I took the cap off an turned the motor to find the rotor is not even spinning. So question here is, is this a problem with the distributor or I've also read possibly timing
chain. The motor turns over just fine with no weird noises so at this point I'm kinda stumped. My next plan was to take the distributor out and take a look at that. Any input would be helpful lol thanks

Could be a broken gear on distributor, but more then likely your timing chain snapped.

The motor has spark plugs in it right??...............LOL Just joking with ya.

This could be one problem or several problems, it could be the ignition module is bad, or the coil could be bad, you would have to see if spark is getting to the coil and or module.

Remember you can buy brand new parts that are faulty, its not common, but not rare for it to happen either.

I have heard of the ignition controls module but when I take the cap off and turn over the motor the rotor doesn't seem to be turning which I believe it should correct me if I'm wrong lol would that cause that? I'm just trying to understand this issue

if its stock with stock cam, you should be ok, but first pull the dizzy and see if it broke the gear, the shaft, or it could just be the roll pin that holds the gear on the shaft broke, but when you pull the dizzy, get a strong magnet on it first as you pull it, this way if it did break you can cross your fingers and hope it all comes out and dont drop into the pan loll, if its not the dizzy then its the timing chain
