I have been told, time and time again, Square shafts SUCK!!! they Wobble !!! and make a hell of a noise at speed.

This new rig I picked up a few weeks back has one in it, and after running it up and down the road a few times, I thought that Square Shaft SUCKS!!!!

So the next day on my drive to work I thought " Well lets shim it a bit to take some of the Wobble out"

I used 4, 1.25"x10" strips of 26 gage to shim it, it was a tight fit but it worked Great !!! It took 75% of the Wobble out !!!

I am still not running down the freeway with it but for around town I don't even notice it anymore.

For a trail rig that rides piggy back to events, a few Shade tree tricks can save thousands and allows one the ability to afford an expensive sport.

Hope its not shimmed too tight, seems like it would take the 'slip' out of it?

I run then on my truck. I don't think I would ever change them out.
