Motocross for the kids

anybody got their kids into motocross
Cody's kinda itchin to do it, just researchin right now.

Found a local guy that races and trains riders..
this is Cody last night, 1 st time over jumps like this..
think I got me a Monster !!!!


30 ft. jump, 1st time over

He's close to 5 ft. in the air

In the first hour he crashed a half dozen times.. went down hard twice.. thumbs up.. I'm ok Dad!! without missing a beat he was back at it..
2nd hour no crashes, jumpin doubles. cornering like a pro and shavin seconds at a time off laps.

thats awesome. I work at a dirtbike shop and love all the racer kids that come in all the time. when i have kids ill give them the option of racing for sure!!

I want to get my daughter into it this year see if she likes it.. ive got an old pw50 that needs work.. but i think im gonna just buy a newer one

Thats cool. Where is this guy at and how much does he charge?? My kids would love this. I just got my 14 year old a 125 last fall and would love to get him some training come spring.

Been looking into different tracks around the state..
Milan Mi. seems to be a good place..
couple around Lapeer too..


Tom (the guy posted above) is in the Howell area..
he puts on training events at some of the tracks.. he charged us $25 hr. to use his place and give Cody some pointers..
is a real decent guy.. has some training tactics that some would consider "out of the ordinary" and it scares the soccer moms..
but I was good with it and gave him freedom to do as he wished..  and like I said, by the second hr.. Cody was rockin.

I'm not going to post his name/# until I talk w/him on how he prefers to train kids.. but keep an eye out here.. I'll post some season start stuff.

my brother took his boy all over for almost 10 yrs     lots of money but if you can get a motorcycle shop to help with any is good.

So, Team Kodiac raced Fowlerville fair just 3 weeks ago..

entered him in 2 separate classes, 4 races total he competed in..

Brought home a 1st place trophy for mini 60-85cc  class and took second in the 85cc beginner..

Boy was ROCKIN it!!

03'  RM125 in the barn..

 He's been pesterin' me all summer for a 125.. I let him go ride at a buddy's last weekend, when I went to pick him up he was on one..(belongs to his buddy's mom) ridin like he knew what he was doin.. so he finds one on Craigs list.. damn if we didn't go look at it.   I look it over, test rode it.. let him do the same, we have us a lil pow/wow and he negotiates the deal with the guy sellin it, for the same price he paid for his 85!!
he now intends on selling the 85 for $200 more than he paid..

That's awesome.  My boys are both into bikes. My 4 year old has a little 50 he's getting good at it. he's been riding for a year. Thus summer we took off the training wheels but had to put them back on. The bike seems to be too heavy for him to balance yet. He also has a 110 quad. He's a bit silly on that. Of course with the four wheels he's thinking he's safer. He's trying to be like us on our quads. Lol. My 3 year old is wanting to be on the bikes but he's alot smaller then my other son. He can't ride yet but he says the 450 bike is his. Lol. Anyway I'm thinking bikes are gonna be a big part of my kids lives. And I'm happy about that. I can't wait till they are big enough to take in the trails with me.

so I go look at it, no compression.. sorry buddy gotta tear it down.
so I helped him tear it down, seems whom ever put the piston in it last failed to seat the ring correctly on the pin, it hung up in the groove and destroyed the cylinder wall..   $600 in parts alone.. anyone have  01' RM125 parts layin around
