Ok a lot of you know that i drive a geo tracker at the mounds. well two sundays ago i lost oil press. so i took it home and figured i would put some thicker oil in it and wheel it this past sunday and blow the motor up then rebuild another one for it. well i got a 8 valve motor from Donnie( thank you) and i'm going to rebuild the bottom half then rebuild the head on the motor in the tracker now( its the 16 valve head). well I took the head off today and took the cam out and where the cam sits in the head and the caps to hold the head in are shot. So I dont know if that can be fixed or if the head is shot. So if anyone knows where i can get a good 16 valve head at let me know or if you know if my head can be fixed. thank you.

I was thinking that but I was also thinking of getting another one and making that one the v6 one for bogs and leaving this one with the 4 cyl. for the mounds. but maybe i will have to do that.

what do you mean the caps are shot if I remember right depending on what's wrong with them I think they can be machined kind of like a rod cap is Your probobly best off taking it to a machine shop and they should be able to tell you for sure. ==shrug

no the intakes are diff and all the wiring is diff so i have to have a 16 valve. i have a 8 valve head sitting in the garage. I can buy a remaned head for 400 bucks plus $100 core charge or a used one that is tested without a cam for 200 with no core charge. but i dont know if I want to order one or try to find one around here.
