Ok guys I have a 1990 jimmy took it through some holes today. then a couple hours headed out to the state fair then when we went to leave a couple hours later it was dark turned m lights on they stayed on for bout 2 minutes then the dash lights running lights and radio all turned off. The interior lights stay on when u turn the extorior lights on. Im not good with electrical and dont know how to trace this i checked the fuses and they seem to be good. if u have any ideas id greatly appriciate it alot. thanks shawn

replace the fuse first anyways. that sounds like a blown fuse. we ran my blazer threw a huge puddle once and the fuse looked just fine but still all my lights stopped. i replaced the fuse any ways and they came right back on. also check to see if the cig lighter is off cause i think the radio runs off the same board as the cig lighter dose to. if thats out than you know that the fuse is shot. but start there first even if ya think the fuse is good.

Thanks guys. I found that whoever installrf the head unit did a crap job and left a bunch of wires exposed so there was a short and replaced a bunch of fuses

Can I just say to people who read this. Stop doing things half butt do them right the first way itll save u time and money in the long run. It seems like every car I get I spend the first month or so fixing what people did wrong. Not saying im the best out there or most expeirienced but I know right from wrong. I understand if ur stuck somewhere and need a quick fix but then fix it for good after that.

Thanks Shawn
