drag strip in Flint?

i heard just on the news today that there is plans on a building a drag strip in flint. Did anybody else hear about this?

theyve been talkin about puttin in  drag strip in flint for years they bring it up hype it to gain interest then shoot it down like they have everytime in the past   they say  it will stop the street racing if ppl have a place to take their cars  this was brought up last year after OPIE  was killed they started to hype it again and once again it got swept under the rug  it is a great idea but will go anywhere because the city doesnt want the liability  wish they would do it though

theres a meeting at the union hall on kearsly st and open racing from noon to 6 both saturday and sunday. Im sure if there is enough support things might actually start happening. everyone that can should come tonight meeting starts at 5:30 at union hall on kersly street.

Ummm it's already built it's an 1/8 mile somewhere over by kettering, saterday was supposed to be the opening day but the rain stoped that. there was a bunch of me and my friends going to go but well rain I think it's gonna be saterday 12 to 6 and sunday like 11 to 5 but I'm not sure I know it's and old street that they repaved.. but thats about all I know about it

on a side note if ed would put some money into his drag strip more people would go out there and the 1/4 mile but until a low 9 sec car can stay on the ground vs. catching air in the left lane a lil over half track.... thats not gonna happen

already shut down this year  just like always  now they are sayin their gonna put one in the hole  ( the old chevy in the hole plant )  WE'LL SEE
