who got laid off due to big 3 issues?

just wondering how many of you are going through the same thing as me.
I've been with my company 6 years and this is the first layoff that i've had.
right now it's only 3 weeks, but the boss said it was tentative, so who knows.

I have not been effected, but I know that it is starting to happen. I hope that something can happen quickly to avoid the major disaster, especially in Michigan, that will happen if the doors close.

I am on the brink of being laid off.  I haven't seen a 40 hour check in weeks (if not months).  Alot of the companys I service are in some way connected to the auto industry.  Most of the companys that make auto parts in the area I service are closing down for 2 to 5 weeks.

My dad works for U.S. Steel (which used to be Great Lakes) He got laid off 2 weeks ago and they are in the process of shutting the whole plant down as all the steel runs off. They said the shut down is for 3 months but he seems to think it will be much longer. I hope something good happens soon
