does anybody know the the rail history of genesee county

I was looking at google earth and noticed that it looks like there was a railroad track that ran from what i can tell was fostoria to about dort hwy, but who knows before 475 was built it might have went all the way to lansing or to durand.

There's old track lines all over the place. They converted the ones here in Stockbridge to bike paths from here to Whitmore Lake and farther and to Jackson and beyond.

yes there was joe  theyre takin them now and makin walkin trails outta them they already started to do that  it already runs from columbiaville area to otterlake   it hasnt been used in MANY years my gpa used to tell me about all the RR places he worked for chessie and csx for over 30 yrs
