Its a nice box but its not rare by any means.
But I would not mind having a box that big. Store all my useless p00 in it

I use to think the same way but after years of collecting tools you need a place to store them. A lot of those cheap boxes break and the drawers dont work with a lot of weight in them. I would not spend 6K on a tool box though unless I was rich but I will need to spend probably 2K to get something that will last and hold all my tools. I was looking at a Kennedy benchmark series box that is almost the same size as that snapon for 1/3 the price.

That box probably sold new for 10k.  I don't understand why Snap On (and the others) tool boxes are so expensive.  There is virtually no technology in them and the materials are used are pretty common.  I worked on a tool truck for a while and tool boxes were easily the most profitable item to sell.

Most guys that buy these high end boxes have something to prove.  The guy with the bestest tool box is king of the shop.

I was refering to the chrome box at the start of the thread.

I remember when the Mr. Big box came out, there was alot of hoopla about it and it had princess mechanics foaming at the mouth and signing the paperwork for huge Snap On credit accounts with 19% intrest.

I have p00 tool boxes and cabinets I keep my tools in.  I have spent my money on machine tools and welders because that is what I like.

To each there own.  I can't fault a guy for liking a big tool box.
