? about nextels

just wondering if anyone has happened to get out of their nextel contracts early without paying the cancelation fee? i duno about anyone else but nextel service has constantly been getting worse. drops my calls all the time, texting only works when it wants to now, and one one at nextel seems to care one bit about any problem i call in about. i want to get out of my contral and go to either verizon or alltel but my contract isnt up till jan 2010. just wondering if anyone has and if so how did u do it

Never heard of it without paying. I just never renewed my contract when it expired. I'm still with Nextel but haven't had a contract for 2 years.

I have nextel and dont have them problems. go to a service place and tell them what is goin on. they usually can tell ya.

I heard of a lupol (sp?) a few months ago... nextel started charging like 15 cents more for something which ended up voiding peoples contracts... i heard of a few people getting out of their contracts w/out paying the cancelation fee because of that, idk if its true or not, might take some research, some guy at the wireless giant was telling us thats how he got out of his nextel contract

when i got rid of nextel i switched to verizon and love it. and me and my dad went out to fenton to a place called wireless toys and they somehow payed off our contract if we would switch. it was a cool deal.

I switched to sprint to get away from nextel Then i droped sprint within the first month. They had a 30 day poilcy if u dont like them u can canel. Not sure if that will still work or not. that was about 3 yrs ago

If you go to Sprint you do not have to pay the fee, thats what I did

Me and my wife had Crap-tel... Had nothing but problems since they started to merge with sprint... That was the stupidest thing that they could've done. Me and my wife had to pay cancellation fee. But it is well worth the money...

nextel here had it for 4+ years and happy with it just dont get service all the time at home but no phone does

you can put your phone on hold and only pay 5 bucks a month and not use it so it only 5 a month

if you put it on hold it also puts a hold on your contract. ive had nextel for 9 + years i havent had that many prob,
with there service. But the merger with sprint was the worst thing they ever did.

your stuck with nextel unless you pay the fee,what happened is the merg from sprint and nextel the nextel towers are in need of up dates and repairs but sprint is not doing that they are changing the newer towers over to sprint and the older towers they are not doing noting with,I got this stright from a bay com nextel dealer,

I know someone that called and complained to Nextel about all teh problems they were haveing. They did end up cancelling their plan and payed nothing. I just got rid of my Nextel and they told me that if you are within six months of your contract expiring you can cancel with out paying that what I did.
