feels a little slugish with 4cyl and 35s, but i expected that, maybe itll get a 4liter soon.

just put a turbo set-up on it

I take it you dont want a v8. thats understandable with gas prices. Have you thought about gears. 456 would probley fix the slugishness. You would be revin high on the highway but it would be a good and eificiant set up with that 4 cyilinder. Turbo setup would be great but it would be cheaper togo to a 302 and be done with it. You would probley have to rebuild the turbo if you could find 1 in a  salvage yard.

He has 4.56 gears. He tops out at 60mph, 70mph down hill. He isn't quite sure about which engine he wants. His thought is, if he does a V8 he will HAVE TO do new axles.

I bet it would chew some parts with a v8, although i had a friend with 4x4 ranger and he put a 302 in it and he drove it everyday. It was a pavement pounder and he didnt have any trouble with it with the stock tires. I'm sure it would be a different story with 35's. That truck is screamin for horsepower. It looks great. ==thumbsup
