Project Die Trying

As many of you may not know, I am currently waiting for a heart transplant. I have an LVAD installed, which is an artificial heart pump for those who didn't know. I am bored sitting at home doing nothing, and its time to find out if I still have it in me to build a rig. Here's the plan:



Specs to include:

TBI 472 chevy with 4L60E, full race prepped with hi-po parts, mounted in the rear backwards
BBC TBI unit bored to 53mm with custom burned chip and big ass cam
35-38" Swamper SSR's or SX'es, maybe TSL's with 16 inch rim holes
16x8 American Racing Atlas  wheels
Serpentine belt setup/reverse rotation water pump
Air conditioning
D60 front and rear
D18 T-case divorce mounted
Link suspension front and rear
Full cage
Full hydro steering
Afro wig in glove box
Dark sunglasses and corncob pipe
Dickies branded overalls

I have most of the parts, engine, transmission, tcase, rear axle, driveshafts, headers, hydro steering. I have a good source for link ends, but I may leaf spring the front, as this will probably be more of a mud toy than a rock crawler. I can't bounce around with the pump installed, and could have it for up to 10 years. I may back down to a D44 front, it will be cheaper in the long run.

Any leads on corncob pipes would be appreciated.

i know how you feel i got rearended on the highway during a traffic backup. They say ill never fully recover but thats not stoppin me. Keep pushin on and live it up. Good luck on the build.

good call on the ac. everyone thinks im crazy for puttin ac on a 11-1 383. Its nice on a hot day on the dunes or in the mud.
