what cubic inch sbc and low end should i go with?

my buddy has some aluminum brodix heads that are 208/160 and has 53cc with roller cam that has a 624 lift.....hes got everthing that matches for the top ends wise.....just wondering what kind of cubic inch motor that would best match theses heads to build with..

depends on what he wants... low end or top end?  anything 355 -454 should work.... I have a 355 and love it. it likes HIGH rpms!!! I also had a 383 stroker great bottom end and mid range  like I said whats he want? mud bogger drag car street cruzer???

I know a few guys with 406s all of them have big issues with keeping it in 1 piece! go bigger or smaller  (434 or 383)

From what u have described it sounds likes u were talkn about my 406..i love mine now that i have brodix heads with 2.08 1.6 valves and same size solid roller cam..my motor was used when i bought it with @ 40,000 miles on it!!  I beat the crap out of it and its still running strong..the only thing i am going to change is add an engine oil cooler

with 2.08 intakes your gonna need either a well over bored 350 block, or a 400 block, stock 350 bore isn't gonna clear that valve, let alone any of the smaller bored blocks if you were thinking of going that route
