On the older Fords, you replace the pick-up, the coil and the module all at the same time time. One will ruin the other either immediately or soon if you dont replace all three together. Once in awhile folks get lucky but not usually. Bad modules from the parts store are common on these.. If you have leaky plug wires or cracked spark plugs you gotta change them too, they will burn up your ignition system. Otherwise, like what the other guys are sayin, PROCESS OF ELIMINATION  ;D Start at the coil and see if you got fire on the 12volt wire goin to it. If not find out why not. If you do have fire to it, see if you got spark out the top of the coil. If you dont, find out why not. Just lookin at wires dont determine if theyre good. You gotta take them loose at both ends and run a resistance test on them with an ohm meter. Sometimes this can be a pain cuz ya gotta make a long jumper wire to reach the other end.. Ive seen so many vehicles with push button starter and horn buttons, toggle switches, etc - the vehicle is wired a certain way for a reason, gotta check stuff the right way to find the real problem.
