cutting rear axle pin

so last night i blew the rear axle out again in my 98 z71. i was wondering if the rear pin can be cut out with torches?  its bent and twisted to were i cant get it out. Thanks for the help

the pin that holds the spider gears in yes it can be cut out.  cut the center out  and  tap it in. you mite have to cut it twice.

you can, but i ver highly recomend a lot of paper towels and brake clean for the old oil first......kinda obvious i know but sometimes we all forget the obvious, good luck with the pin done a few that seemed like they did everything but come out

if you use brake cleaner be sure to get it all out before cutting with torch, brake cleaner gives off toxic fumes when burnt

ok thanks guys. im gonna see what i can do tomorrow morning. hopeing to have that tore apart and the new gears put in tomorrow
