I bought my son a 1995 GMC safari  AWD ( ie ) just like the astro van, anyway the rear leaf spings are fiberglass and they are splitting apart and the van is now sagging. I want to change to steel springs so I was wondering if anyone has done this before and what spring will be a close donar.( like s-10?) These springs are wider than normal ones so I suspect I will have to weld different perches on the axle, but as it goes so far I have just looked at it. I think a question that will be asked is whats the measurment eye to eye on the current spring so that is the next thing to check out. I am not sure how accurate the measurment will be considering the spring is a nice S curve but I'm going to give it a shot. Anyone encounter this gay setup? ==doh
