V Belts or Serpentine Belts???

Who all uses a V belt on a BB? I heard yes n no?

v belts work good been running them for 9 years now.  running 7,200 RPM,S AT LEAST U GOT TWO OR THREE BELTS. SERPENTINE BELT U ONLY HAVE ONE AND WHEN IT THROWS IT U R  SCREWED

Runnin  Vbelts on my 468, with deep groove March pulleys.  Ive never thrown or rolled a belt yet.

i run v belts on my bbc  and never had a problem with them.

as long as your lineing your pulleys up right and useing good pulleys you should be fine,

i am runing a serp on my alt  and a v on the ps pump

i like runnin the v belts because  on my set up  i have 2 belts runnin on my water pump. so  if for some reason it throws  the belt for the ps  or alternator my water pump still turns and keeps the motor cool.   happened to me a few times in a trail ride on my sb i had in there  and i figured id do the same when i put hte big block in it

v belts are what we run and we threw a few then aligned are pulleys better and haven't threw one yet.
