Im in the process of building up my Expedition for a trail rig/family around town rig. looking at putting either 37" boggers under it or possibly 37" Nitto mud grapplers, or 37" Mickey Thompson MTZ's. I really want a set of boggers always have. But my question is how are they in the snow? I dont plan on doing much highway driving excpet for the days of 12" inches of snow we so lovely get here in MI. I had the MTZ's on my lifted Sierra and absolutly loved them all year round. But I would like something more aggresive for the trails. Thoughts? Any insight is appreciated thanks.

I would run em. I prefer aggressive tires as long as ur careful around the ice. The bigger the voids the bigger the bite of snow they take IMO. I plow with 35 bfgs and I hate not having traction cuz the treads all get filled up with snow

Heck I use might to plow my driveway and my neighbors.

forward traction is good in snow but turning isn't so fun.  ==2cents

I dont even want to think about snow ....just yet  ==coldwind

But boggers do ok in the deep stuff, and not so well on the hard pack and they dont have hardly any laterall stabillity unless grooved with angled  pattern

Thanks guys for all the insight. I guess we'll see what i decide. All three look like good tires. Any other experiences with any of the three is much appreciated. I don't really want to switch between winter tires and summer tires. But might end up having to go that route. Boggers just look so BADASS!

What about the tsl sx. Pretty capable tire

Best I can tell they don't sell the TSL SX, with a 17" rim with 37" tall tire. They are nice though.

Nitto Mud Grappler 37x13.5x17 = $425.99ea
Mickey Thompson MTZ 37x12.5x17 = $430.99ea
Super Swamper Bogger 37x13.0x17 = $435.99ea
Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 37x12.5x17 = $443.99ea
Super Swamper SSR 37x12.5x17 = $474.99ea

Kyle

I've always wanted to see how a Baja claw would do

If you plan on driving this on the road its useless to run a bogger..just a waste of money.I personally would look into an irok radial
