motor rocks and jumps when put into gear

ok so i get the tracker all done and it runs awesome. But the motor rocks pretty bad and when i put it into gear from park or neutral it jumps. I really dont like it doing that. So what are my options to fix it from rocking so much and jumping when i put it into gear?

solid mounts or run a chain to the block and to the frame and hope it holds... it you seen how much my 355 moves you would

! mine even broke my frame doing that....

idle could be set to highwith it jumping from neutral or park which is a non moving gear to drive or reverse

Idle is 1000 in gear it's about 800. Don't want to go much lower than that on idle if I don't have too. Figure a stall converter around 1500-1700 would be a good idea. Problem is there r two different spline counts for the 700r4 and I don't know what mine is and I don't want to pull it apart just to figure it out and put it back so I can play till I get the stall.

That's the other thing I don't think the tracker can handle the solid motor mounts. Might have to idle it down and see what happens. Also I need to fix the front shaft ujoints. That could be some if the jumping.

What the normal rpms that a stock converter kicks in at?

i have a 700r4 in my truck and it idels at about 600 but thats with a 350 in it

normal idle on a 4.3 is 650-800 rpm id say stock stall is probably 1000-1200

is the converter locked up at idle?

It wants to move on it's own at idle. I'm gonna lower the idle and adj. The timing on it too maybe that will fix it.

did your old tranny do it? convertor could be locked up

All mounts r brand new from quality auto. Maybe but usually font get bad parts from them.
