Yup, there ya go, just super-glue her to your hip and make her go everywhere with you. Show her that there are other things in life to do besides standin around suckin on a bottle till ya cant stand up no more. Most times theyre just doin it for fun and cuz "all the other kids are doin it." In my case I was seriously tryin to get super hammered and this is quite a bit different. It got way worse as I got older, and I had to stop drinkin completely and totally forever a few years back. dont get cops in it, and especially dont let her and/or her friends drink at your place or you wil get busted for contributin to the delinquency of a minor. She is your daughter, your own, and you have to be there for her no matter what.

Also, I wouldnt ground her and I wouldnt tell her youre gonna send her to detox, I would ask her if she wants to go there. If she says no, shes not ready for help and it will only make her more determined to show you she can do as she pleases and it will also make her HATE YOU. Im pretty sure you dont want her to hate you, so I would go easy with this. They will do what they want to do no matter what, you be there to catch her when she falls. Now then there are some things you can do that could end up bein pretty amusing. Let her go out and about the time you figure theyre partyin hard, why not show up over there with a big grin askin some sort of stupid innocent question such as "Say have you seen my _____ lately? I cant find it anywhere! Just thought Id come by and ask ya before ya get too awful trashed - LIKE YOUR FRIENDS HAVE BEEN TELLIN ME. Oh hey, are you guys DRINKIN AGAIN?" Embarassment goes a real long way, my friend. If you do this, its very important to appear as dumb as possible, they may stop invitin her to drink with them cuz they wont want you comin around askin dumb questions and stuff. And if shes trashed, well just tell her she looks trashed and probably ought to head on home before she pees her pants like she did the last time she was drinkin. You see where Im goin with this?

Very good point! Sometimes you have to be more of a friend than parent. Usually discipline causes rebellion.

She is still doing good, spending more time with her and listening and giving advice on some issues I think she was avoiding and covering up by drinking.

didnt read all the posts, but i think kids need to keep busy, like constructive activities and all kids need a job to keep them in the real world
