double cardian driveshafts

mine need to have u joints replaced but shop wants close to 200    i know i need a press but dont have one  and dont want torch it to p00... any tips or whatever to have it done or if someone had it done before can help?

all i can see they factory oem   where i have to torch the plastic thing out ... i think it ll be a cleaner thing to do with a press  but i ll see if anyone got a good press

I've heard of guys using ball joint tool to do this

ive done it with ba press and a balljoint tool only reason for torch is to heat the original cups loose with fiber inside of the driveshafts and ive used a socket inside a vise they all work about the same for me i even used a air hammer and a socket works good to but noise.......i wouldnt pay for anyone to do mine unless dont have these tools

i have all ways use the torch on them. heat them up come apart real easy.

You can do it with a lil heat & a hammer n socket. How soon do you need it done? I have access to a shop press if you cant gettem out.

yea when we did mine we torched them to get all that plastic p00 out and then used one of them ujoint/ball joint tools from harbor freight to press them out
