our family new the Slots....we went to school with them..the Dad is a local dentist..The mother died of Cancer and worked with my father at the township offices and she was a "lunch lady" and "room mother" for us kids when we were grades 1-3 when I was little... what an awful way for Trevor (officer Slot) to die...we went to school with the Slot boys ..a good good family and my prayers are with them....... please add the Slot family to your prayers

He use to be a Lowell police officer here in my town, his sister is my kids teacher at Lowell high school and they pulled her out of class yesterday to tell her the news, I am not fond of cops but he was actually a very nice cop and well liked in our town, he will be missed.

OMG that is terrible!! I just pray he died fast enough he didnt suffer from being ran over like that.. What a horrible way to die. He and his family are in our prayers.  Really pisses me off when an innocent person has to die because of someone else's stupidity!

i agree horrible way to die..  i really think it is sad that someones mentality is at a level that they think robbing a bank is a solution.  just because they dont have a job or cant find.  the economy is bad here  i honestly havent worked in 4 mnths. im going nuts, nut never would i rob a bank and take a innocent persons life. police officer or not. mine and my familys thoughts and prayers are with that officers family.
