IFS to SAS Swap question

I am looking at doing a SAS swap on a 89 Chevy.  Any one know of a place were I can get plans to do the swap.  I am NOT buying a $800+ kit for a truck that will only see 10 to 20 miles of road uses a year.  Any Links or build pics would help me out.

I am thinking of either running a Corp 10 bolt or a HP44,  but I have yet to find a for Radius arm set up put on a GM.  I like the HP b/c its DD and there is no need to swap the t-case.

HP d44 would be a good choice for you theres a member on here his names "Kyle" he did a whole homemade sas

im planning on one here but im using d60 front out of a superduty and a 10.5 rear sterling and ill probably go with the sky kit

id run a HP 44 or a 60. itll save ya the troubles of makin a new trans crossmember when ya swap t cases. if ur stickin with a smaller lift and tires radius arms would be the simplest and easiest way to go out of any link types, but i havent had a spare set of coils to play with to figure out if theres enough room for em with the frame rails being wider than the early gen chevys and fords, would almost think ud need the early gen ford coils cuz they have a smaller diameter.... otherwise leafs simple and easy to do and ya dont need to run a sway bar. i built my kit outside the truck and did the swap all in one weekend

That should have said NOT and I fixed it so it does now.  I am to poor to buy a kit.

My 44 is the cast on wedges so I it has to be radius arms up front or  I find some one to do a set of new axles tubes witch I have NO clue were to start looking for some that can barter a deal with on that end.


Also I am no looking to do a huge lift to this.  To be honest I would love to only add 2 inches to it. If I could get away with the stock leafs from a old K10/20 that would just be sweet to me.

thats what id do, just cut em off and make ur own perches. and if ya run just stock leafs from an old solid axle truck itll give ya bout 3 inches of lift depending on how ya make the kit

Cant cut the wedges off as they at the Cast on style. My 44 in my Wagoneer was the weld on wedges.

just cut some radius arms til theres about 10in of the factory arms then get some 1/4wall dom tube or square knotch it to fit the cut arm heat the cast arm to about 700* burn a few good welds on it then let it cool slowly then you can use heims or some other type of suspension joint at the frame. ill see if i can get some pics for reference.
